New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a porter, who was assisting a wheelchair-bound passenger to his Jet Airways flight - 9W745 - to Varanasi, got locked inside the aircraft, which was given a green signal for departure.
On Tuesday, the porter boarded the aircraft with the passenger and was settling him on his seat when the departure was announced and the aircraft was pushed back. Realising that the aircraft was moving, the porter alerted the cabin crew.
"The pilots had to seek permission from the ground handlers to return to the bay and deboard the porter. The aircraft was granted permission and it departed after a short delay," said a senior airport official.
