Trujet adds Kochi to its network

Trujet has elected to become the fourth carrier to provide daily, non-stop flights between Hyderabad (HYD) and Kochi (COK). On 20 November the Indian regional airline began a daily service on the 814-kilometre link using its ATR 72s. Flights depart Hyderabad at 22:30 arriving at Kochi at 00:50. The return flight leaves Kochi at 01:15 getting back to Hyderabad at 03:35. Trujet will face competition from SpiceJet (15 weekly flights) as well as AirAsia India and IndiGo who both fly the route on a twice-daily basis. The carrier launched last July and currently has a fleet of three ATR 72-500s with which it serves 10 destinations in India. According to government figures Trujet’s share of the Indian domestic market has been 0.4% in each of the first three quarters of 2016.
