Indian airports drive strong Asian growth

According to the latest data from Airports Council International (ACI), regional traffic increased 9.8% in September 2016. But many airports in India reported year-on-year growth in excess of 20%, including Kolkata (+29.8%), Delhi (+24.1%) and Hyderabad (+24.0%).

Other regional hubs also experienced strong growth, including Phuket (+23.0%), Nanjing (+19.5%) and Kuala Lumpur (+15.4%), while South Korea’s main airports, including Seoul Incheon and Busan, both saw growth of more than 20%, as the country recovered from a poor 2015.
