India's IndiGo mulls A321neo order conversion

IndiGo Airlines(6E, Delhi Int'l) President Aditya Ghosh says the Indian budget carrier is considering converting some of its A320neo orders to the larger A321neo.

Speaking to Reuters last week, Ghosh said the larger capacity twinjets would allow IndiGo to make more effective use of slots at congested airports such as Mumbai Int'l and Delhi Int'l.

Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) indicates that IndiGo has a total of 410 A320neo on order of which seventeen have thus far been delivered.
