Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam International Airport will soon have night parking facility for the aircrafts arriving in the evening. The works at the airport for creation of six more parking bays is in full swing and the project will be completed in the last week of June.
The night parking facility will increase the number of early morning flights to several parts of the country from the city and also increase the night landing of flights in the airport.The Airport Authority of India officials said that the four airports in Andhra Pradesh have registered a robust growth in air passenger traffic during 2016-17 fiscal with Vizag Airport leading by handling an all-time high of 23.58 lakh passengers as against 18.04 lakh in 2015-16 by registering a growth of over 30 per cent.
