Local cuisine, art works to bring out ‘Feel Pune’ factor at airport

Pune: Fliers can soon expect a titillating menu of their favourite Maharashtrian delicacies at the Pune airport as the authorities are planning to set up food stalls at the facility.
To bring out the 'Feel Pune' factor, famous snacks like kacchi dabeli and bhakarwadi will be included in the list, besides the popular lunch choices like a Maharashtra thali.
The airport officials told TOI that the plan would be implemented within a couple of months.
"In a Pune airport advisory committee meeting, it has been decided that local food and beverage (F & B) outlets, retail outlets etc should be started in and around the airport area. We want to recast the 'Feel Pune' factor. Passengers should get a taste of the city's food culture and character. The work on the same is on," Jagdish Mulik, vice president of the committee and local MLA, told TOI.
