In July, Airbus booked $1 billion in new orders and delivered 47 aircraft to 23 airlines and eight lessors, including 12 A320ceos, nine A320neos, 15 A321ceos, four A330-300s, six A350-900s and one A380.
As of July 31, Airbus has delivered* just over half (351) of the 700 commercial aircraft the Toulouse-based manufacturer projected it will deliver in 2017.
The manufacturer recorded firm orders for four aircraft from two customers during the month, including three A330-200s for International Aviation Group (IAG)’s long-haul, low-cost carrier (LCC) startup Level, to be delivered in summer 2018 and valued at $701.4 million, and one A350-1000 for an undisclosed customer, valued at $359.3 million.
Year-to-date, including conversions and cancellations, Airbus has booked a net order total of 205 commercial aircraft.
Airbus delivered four aircraft each to UK LCC easyJet (three A320ceos and one A320neo) and China Eastern Airlines (three A321ceos and an A330-300); three aircraft each to Dallas/Fort Worth-based American Airlines (all A321ceos) and Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines (two A321ceos and an A350-900); and two each to Air China (an A321ceo and an A330-300), US LCC Allegiant Air (both A320ceos); China Southern Airlines (an A320ceo and an A330-300); US LCC Spirit Airlines (both A321ceos)’ and Singapore-based lessor BOC Aviation (both A320neos bound for Russia domestic carrier S7 [Siberia Airlines] and Indian domestic carrier Vistara Airlines, respectively).
