Youth held with fake visa at Mumbai airport

The Sahar police have arrested a 20-year-old engineering student at the Mumbai International Airport for allegedly attempting to fly to the USA on a fake visa with his girlfriend.
According to the police, the accused, Sushil Ramnath (name changed), studying in a reputed engineering college of Bangalore was intercepted at the immigration counter of the airport where he showed his fake visa to staff. The Intelligence Bureau and immigration officers then checked the list of persons to whom visas were issued and found that a visa was not issued on his name, and that he was attempting to fly to the USA with a fake visa. The immigration officers immediately informed the police and handed over the accused to Sahar police.
"During questioning, he revealed that he wanted to travel to the USA with his girlfriend but did not manage to get a valid visa. He then forged a visa using a dummy visa available online. He then took a printout of the same after editing it by adding his name and photograph with the use of a designing software," said a senior police officer.
