British Airways joins price war on India-UK route

AsiaIn another significant move, indicating price war among carriers for flights from India to London, British Airways has announced a discounted return airfare of US$325 for travel from Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai to London.
Currently, the airline is offering a return ticket to London at about US$535 (excluding the taxes). The taxes on a return ticket to London are in the range of US$178. By paying an additional amount of US$67 plus taxes, passengers can also extend their journey to any destination in the United Kingdom, Munich or Frankfurt.
For US$777 and the applicable taxes a passenger can travel to any destination in the US including Washington, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles among others. To avail of this offer, British Airways passengers must commence their journey before May 31, 2006 and complete their ticketing procedure before February 28, 2006.
