Air Deccan to expand operations abroad

Mumbai: Air Deccan is talking to Malaysian and other Asian companies to start joint ventures in various countries including the Middle East.
The local partner's job will be to get all the necessary licences and regulatory clearances, while Air Deccan will supply the planes and provide technical assistance.In fact, Air Deccan is planning to buy a 100 more planes over the next 4-5 years to scale up its domestic operations and go global.
" We are not looking at flying to London, New York or Paris, but a sizable presence in Middle East, Singapore and Bangkok," said Capt Gopinath, Chairman, Air Deccan.
