HC reserves judgement in airports modernisation row

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday reserved its judgement on the tender controversey pertaining to the award of contracts for modernisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports by the Government.
A division bench comprising Justice Thirath Thakur and B N Chaturvedi reserved the judgement after the conclusion of arguments that lasted nearly 40 days.
The bench is expected to deliver its judgement in the first week of April before the commencement of the court's short vacation. Citing various "illegalities and favouritism" by the Union Government and the AAI, Anil Ambani's Reliance Airport Developers Limited had challenged the award of contracts for modernising Delhi and Mumbai airports to GMR-Fraport and GVK Industries, respectively.
