Hearing on airport case postponed by a week

New Delhi: The high-profile litigation over selection of partners for the modernisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports, put on fast track by the Delhi High Court, has hit a speed-breaker due to the pre-occupation of the top lawyers involved in the case. Hearing would resume only on March 20, sources associated with the case said.
GVK, the partner selected for modernising the Mumbai airport, completed its arguments on Thursday. GMR, the partner selected for Delhi airport, has also completed its submissions. There was no hearing on Friday, the sources said.
Reliance Airport Developers, the petitioner, would now be given two-days time to counter respondents’ arguments, the sources said. Therefore, the court is expected to go in for its judgement, after the company completes its submissions, on March 20 and March 21.
