Man convicted in Air India bombing in court on perjury charge

Vancouver: The man accused of lying during the Air India bombing trial made a brief court appearance in Vancouver today on a perjury charge. The judge in the Air India trial called Inderjit Singh Reyat an unmitigated liar.
Reyat's new lawyer Ian Donaldson says that's yet to be proven. He says trial judges all over Canada often don't believe witnesses, but that's far from saying they committed perjury.
Reyat was convicted of manslaughter for supplying bomb parts that led to the downing of Air India flight 182 that killed 329 people in June 1985.
