Mumbai: An Air India Boeing 747 on a New Delhi- Frankfurt flight made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Saturday morning.
All the 284 passengers, including 7 infants, and 20 crew on board are safe. According to airport sources, there was retraction in aircrafts’ landing gear as a result of which the tyres came off.

The problem was noticed shortly after the aircraft left Delhi this morning and remnants of some of its tyres were found scattered on the runway. The flight, which was then flying over Karachi was recalled and diverted to Mumbai.
