CPM: Airport pacts violate promises to AAI staff

New Delhi: CPM on Tuesday came out strongly against the government signing the shareholders' agreement with private companies to operate, maintain, finance and manage Delhi and Mumbai airports.
The party said: "Government alone will be held responsible for the consequences of the course that it has adopted." CPM said modernisation process is not only a "mockery of transparency" but also breach of "agreement with the Airport Authority of India employees".
