‘Kingfisher First’ to fly from Apr 29

New Delhi: Passengers travelling by Kingfisher Airlines from Bangalore to Delhi can experience new business class comfort in a fortnight. The nearly one-year old airline from the United Breweries stable will begin its ‘Kingfisher First’ service between Delhi and Bangalore from April 29.
Already, Kingfisher has retrofitted business class in three of its aircraft, two of which are now flying between Delhi, Mumbai, Goa and Kochi. Offering 20 seats in each plane, Kingfisher will feature the ‘First’ service in all its current fleet of aircraft, by June. The aircraft are being retrofitted at Zurich at $1 million per plane.
Kingfisher has a fleet strength of 11 airbuses. Speaking to journalists on board a newly retrofitted A320 aircraft, Kingfisher Airlines Chairman Vijay Mallya said he was convinced that the First would be a resounding success.
