New Delhi: In the absence of a Left member, members of a parliamentary panel, on Friday, asked Civil Aviation Ministry "not to succumb to any pressure" and proceed with the modernisation process of metro and non-metro airports.
Members of the Parliament Consultative Committee on Civil Aviation also congratulated Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and officials of the Ministry on successfully completing the process of approval for aircraft acquisition for both Air India and Indian Airlines, an official release said.
"Some members also urged the Minister not to succumb to any kind of pressure but to go ahead with the modernisation and restructuring of the airports," the release said.
The lone member from the Left, Tarit Baran Topdar of CPM, was not present in the meeting.
