DIAL begins work on upgrading IGI Airport

New Delhi: Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the joint venture company entrusted with the task of Indira Gandhi International Airport upgrade has begun its work.
It started with cutting the umbilical cord that existed between the IGI Airport and the Airport Authority of India, to take the administrative control of the airport.
Apart from initiating short-term measures for
improving the infrastructure at the IGI Airport, the GMR-Fraport-led consortium has drawn an exhaustive list, for the first three-month transition period, during which all departments at the airport would be overhauled.
The JVC has worked out various levels of transitions. Main areas under review are:
Management, Human resources, Finances and Operations
