Frankfinn plans low-cost carrier, Dubai centre

New Delhi: The Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training is foraying overseas with a centre in Dubai to tap the expatriate population and setting up a budget airline in India.
‘We are planning to raise the number of training centres from 61 currently to around 100 by December and have at least six centres overseas,’ said Rakesh Agarwal, managing director of the institute.
‘The first centre overseas will be operational in Dubai by early July,’ Agarwal told IANS.
‘We are also planning to have our low coat airline by 2009. We are working on the specific details of the project. We should be finalising it by the yearend.’
The Mumbai-headquartered company is a subsidiary of Frankfinn Aviation Services and plans to go it alone in the UAE with its centre in the Dubai Knowledge City with an investment of Rs. 200 million ($4.5 million).
