Jet Airways India Ltd has announced India's first-ever domestic "kiosk check-in" facility from June 1, 2006.
Kiosk check-in, available for domestic flights, can be completed at Jet's kiosks located at the airport. This facility will initially be available at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore airports.
At a check-in kiosk the system performs a name check, verifies the PNR, enables passengers to select their preferred seats and print their boarding passes using, the printer integrated with the kiosk, kiosk check-in enable passengers carrying only hand baggage to proceed directly for security. The kiosk performs thorough passenger identification through a valid swipe card (e.g. credit card, debit card, JP card) for authentication.
