Two Air Deccan planes grounded

Mumbai: Tuesday was a bad day for Air Deccan in Mumbai, with two of the low-cost carrier’s 30 aircraft—one ATR turboprop and an Airbus 320—being grounded due to technical snags.
The hitch affected five flights out of Mumbai alone, and inconvenienced hundreds of passengers. Many were vacationing, with children in tow, and had to wait hours as the airline accommodated them on subsequent flights—some are still waiting and will leave on Wednesday morning.
Many simply gave up and cancelled their tickets.
The flights cancelled: 5.35 am Mumbai-Kolkata, 7.35 pm Mumbai-Bangalore, 11.50 am Mumbai-Nagpur, 12.10 pm Mumbai-Jamnagar, 1.20 pm Mumbai-Nashik.
