Air-hostess school Taking-off

Ludhiana: The city’s newest air-hostess training school - Flying Cats, nestled in Sector 8, Chandigarh, formally opened doors (and admissions) this Wednesday and we took a tour around with the school’s centre head Shivani Sabikhi, a former Singapore Airlines air-hostess herself and also a well-known model (she’s walked all the fashion weeks till 2005).
‘‘The institute is perhaps the only one in the country where people from the world of fashion, glamour and Bollywood are working in collaboration with aviation and hospitality stalwarts,’’ pitches in Priyanka who has roped in designer Ashley Rebello for the uniforms, celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar for the stills, grooming experts like Malaika Arora and Sabina Merchant, models Aditi Govitrikar, Zulfi Sayed, Tanushree Dutta, Neha Dhupia for workshops. ‘‘On our panel we have professionals like Parvez Damania who is former executive director of Kingfisher Airlines and Sahara Airlines and other experts from Air India, Swiss Air etc,’’ adds Khosla.
