Airport revamp, a month on

New Delhi: The GMR-Fraport led consortium today took over parallel control of the Indira Gandhi International Airport. All decisions related to the airport will be taken only after a joint discussion between the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the GMR group officials.
Though GMR-Fraport had formally assumed charge of the airport administration a month ago, the AAI was managing and operating it.
Officials say a complete takeover is likely in July.
Soon after assuming charge in May, GMR had outlined its early targets.
