Singapore Airlines looks at Kolkata-China traffic

Kolkata: Singapore Airlines (SA) is finding more and more passengers flying to Chinese destinations from Kolkata.
Currently, almost six per cent of its passengers from Kolkata fly onward to China from Singapore.
To increase this to a more substantial number of 15 per cent by the end of the year, the airline has introduced a new offer to lure leisure travellers to China. Most of the passengers flying to China from Kolkata and back are business travellers representing corporates. Alongside discounted return fares to the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou, SA has also introduced the 'take a break' offer.
This includes a free stopover at Singapore for passengers flying on to the South East Asian cities of Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Bangkok and Langkawi and the four Chinese destinations.
