Smooth take-off for immigration at HAL

Bangalore: Since last week, the crowd on the first floor of the airport complex has eased with check-in and screening of hand baggage shifted to the ground floor.
International counters and registered baggage clearance too will be shifted out of the crammed area shortly, allowing authorities to handle more passengers.
While passengers travelling abroad can heave a sigh of relief, the immigration desk too is relieved as there will be additional seating area for the waiting people.
The desk itself has upgraded its screening equipment to be able to handle over 3,000 passengers daily. Over 12 international flights land and take-off from the Bangalore airport daily.
