Snag forces Air Deccan flight return

Kolkata: Air Deccan’s flight from Kolkata to Mumbai had to make a priority landing at NSC Bose airport this evening after the pressurisation system of the aircraft failed because of a crack in the windshield.
The flight with 182 persons including the crew on board left Kolkata at about 5.50 p.m. After flying for about 50 minutes the pilot noticed the defect and contacted air traffic control officers saying he wanted to return. The pilot came back and landed safely at about 7.30 p.m. The flight was cancelled. While some passengers were flown to Mumbai by an Indian flight, others were left behind.
