Vacation blues for Calicut passengers

With Indian airline ruling out additional flights to cope with the summer vacation rush, intending passengers on the Doha-Calicut sector are keeping their fingers crossed.
As things stand now, even those who bought tickets for as much as QR2,930 are not sure if they will be able to travel.
Both Air India and Indian operate on the busy route but only the latter has daily flights from Doha, leaving at 1.40am. Air India flies to Calicut twice a week.
On Indian’s daily flight, only 60 of the 130 seats are allotted to Doha, the rest going to passengers boarding from Bahrain.
While passengers going to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram have many connecting flights from neighbouring GCC states, those travelling to Calicut do not.
Passengers blamed the airline for not planning ahead.
