Doha: Sri Lankan Airlines is adding Goa to its destination in the country from October.
The airline, which flies four times a week from Doha to Colombo, already operates nearly 100 weekly flights to New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Trichy, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhilode and Kochi.
The airline will operate two weekly flights to Goa, SriLankan manager Lakshman Weerasooriya told Gulf Times yesterday.
Seventy percent of the airline’s passengers from Doha are Indians, Weerasooriya said.
The twice-weekly Goa flights, which would be of two hours’ duration from Colombo, are scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays. SriLankan will thus become the first foreign carrier to fly to Goa.
