Air Canada has announced that it is expanding its service to India.
Starting October 30, Canada's largest airline will enter a code sharing agreement with SWISS, which will result in new flights from Toronto to Mumbai via Zurich.
Some flights will be operated entirely by SWISS and others by Air Canada. With the code share agreement passengers can accumulate frequent flyer miles and use them towards flights on either airline.
Air Canada's vice president of international alliances and regulatory affairs, Yves Dufresne, believes the code sharing agreement will make travel between Canada, Switzerland and India much easier.
