Airports union leader being probed by party for threats to take over school

Kolkata: Dipankar Ghosh, secretary of Kolkata’s Airports Authority Employees Union and the man who’s key to their plans to ground the airport during the August 17-18 strike, has come under the CPM scanner after the party received a complaint that he had resorted to political intimidation and threats to take over a school in the airport area.
A copy of the complaint against Ghosh has also been sent to CPM general secretary Prakash Karat.
A complaint against Ghosh has also been lodged with the Airport police station. The complainant is Pradip Kumar Roy, an employee of the State Bank of India’s Airport branch as well as president, managing committee of the Calcutta Airport English High School.
Party insiders do not rule out clipping the wings of the firebrand Marxist who has time and again been instrumental in paralysing operations at the airport.
