GMR wants to land in Changi, Bangkok airports

Bangalore: Close on the heels of bagging the modernisation projects of New Delhi and Hyderabad airports, GMR Infrastructure Ltd is planning to spread its wings by bidding for the update of international airports abroad. GMR has set sights on the Changi International Airport in Singapore, Bangkok International Airport in Thailand, Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka as these airports are scheduled to upgraded soon.
"As a part of our growth strategy, we are also interested in the airports outside India" a top source in the company told FE on conditions of anonymity. Depending on the government regulation, legal provisions, and quantum of investment, the company would participate in the bids for such projects, he added.
