Indian Airports Call On Canine Backup

Security agencies in India have called in the canine cavalry as part of anti-hijacking measures in the nation's airports. The disruptions to British inbound and outbound flights have had a knock on effect across the globe and India are amongst those responding with canine back up.
Whilst America has cancelled many of the flights originating from the UK, India has been able to accept flights from the UK, operating on a delayed timetable so that their highly trained detection dogs can get to work on hand and large luggage.
Airports in New Delhi and Mumbai are operating only one hour behind schedule despite inspecting one hundred percent of all luggage. Having the dogs on hand is enabling airport staff to know that every item of luggage is free from explosive materials.
