Kingfisher incident: Woman IG begins probe

Aluva, Kerala: Inspector General B Sandhya who was appointed by Kerala Chief Minster V S Achuthanandan to conduct a preliminary inquiry into allegations that state Minister P J Joseph had misbehaved with a woman passenger on a flight, has begun her probe from the Cochin airport.
Sandhya held discussions with airport Director A C K Nair, Officials of Kingfisher Airlines, police and security officials, airport sources said.
She also checked the seating arrangement in the Kingfisher aircraft which arrived here from Chennai around 8 pm yesterday, the sources said.
A woman passenger had alleged that the Minister had misbehaved with her on the Chennai-Kochi flight on August 3. A complaint in this regard had been submitted to the Chief Minister following which the enquiry was ordered.
