Passenger served spoiled creamer on Air-India flight

V K Agarwal, a frequent flyer with Air-India (A-I), was shocked when he was served a dairy creamer sachet that was past its expiry date onboard. Realising that bringing this slight to the notice of the crew would not make a difference, Agarwal sent the dairy creamer sachet to A-I chairman and managing director V Thulasidas. It’s been more than a week, but Agarwal has still not received a response from Thulasidas’ office.
On August 19 Agarwal boarded flight AI309 from Delhi to Mumbai. That night, to Agarwal’s horror, he found that the dairy creamer served with coffee was manufactured in November 2005. “And the expiry date was six months after the manufacturing date,” he adds.
When this newspaper contacted A-I the spokesman said that they would investigate into the matter and if the allegations are found to be true, necessary action would be taken.
