Reyat returns to court

Vancouver: The man accused of lying during the Air India trial will find out today when he'll be tried for perjury.
Inderjit Singh Reyat is the only person convicted in the 1985 bombing that killed 331 people. His trial date was supposed to be set in June, but lawyers were granted an extension.
Reyat was charged with perjury after prosecutors questioned his testimony during the trial of Ripudamen Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri. Those men were acquitted last year.
Reyat pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his role in the bombing and is currently serving a five-year sentence. He's slated for release in February of 2008.
