Hyderabad: Now even the pen you carry raises suspicion of the hawk-eyed security men at airports in the country.
With intelligence agencies indicating that pen pistols could be used by terrorists to target VVIPs, the writing instrument has come under the glare of security men.
But the problem is pen pistols cannot be detected easily unless one opens them and checks them thoroughly. Even a person carrying a pen pistol can walk past the airport security without any hassle.
Mobile phones, pens and wallets which people carry in their pockets are usually placed in a tray at security check while one proceeds to board the flight.
In some cases, even these are passed through the X-ray machine but there is no way the normal looking pen can be discovered to be a weapon.
