Mumbai: Weeks after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) made it mandatory for aviation training institutes to get an approval, the premier body has not decided on the branch which will handle issues related to the new regulation.
Ground studies institute owners say that they have been making the rounds of the DGCA's headquarters in New Delhi for days together, but there's no particular branch that has been authorised to give clearance to these institutes. Surprisingly, none of the staff in the directorate knows where to direct these hapless proprietors.
Even the DGCA website does not carry any information on this. Students who are yet to start their studies are losing their valuable time. Students already enrolled, fear what would happen if their institute is not recognised by the DGCA.
