Boeing seeks to boost presence, sales in India

New Delhi: Boeing Co. (BA) is planning to boost its presence in India by selling a wide array of defense equipment and services to India as well as tie-ups with Indian companies to boost global business.
Boeing is seeking tie-ups with Indian manufacturing, engineering and software companies to utilize the low-cost, high quality skills in the country to boost Boeing's revenue and profitability, Chris Chadwick, vice president and general manager of global strike systems at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems said.
Boeing is already working with Indian software companies such as Infosys Technologies Ltd. (INFY), Wipro Ltd. (WIT), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (532281.BY) and HCL Technologies Ltd. (532540.BY), as well as state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. in the commercial aviation sector, Anil Shrikhande, managing director of Boeing International Corp. India Pvt. Ltd., said separately.
