Royal Brunei Airlines will expand its services to new destinations and increase its flight frequencies by 40 per cent to selected countries.
The national airline is expected to reinstate its route to mainland China and will be adding destinations in India in its new route network, according to an airline official, who declined to be named.
This is a crucial move as the airline seeks to exploit the huge potential for tourism and business travel in the two major economic powers.
Other plans at the airline include establishing new routes to cities in Australia, adding to the current four destinations of Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Darwin.
