A lower court has remanded to 14 days judicial custody, Joseph Fisher, arrested in connection with the bomb scare on board a Mumbai bound Jet Airways flight.
The Aluva First Class Magistrate had remanded Joseph to judicial custody till September 19 after his arrest was recorded, police said.
Police said cases have been registered against Joseph for threatening the life of co-passengers and crew members of the flight under the Aircraft Rules and under section 506 (2) of IPC for intimidation.
He was also booked under 12(1)(a) of the Passports Act for possessing an Indian passport with a fake address in Muvattupuzha, 40 km from here, police added.
Joseph, a doctor working in a private hospital in Uganda, had an Israeli citizenship and the police are looking into it.
