Data management system launched at Bajpe airport

Mangalore: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) initiated the airport information management system at Bajpe (Mangalore) airport on Friday.
N. B. Mathur, general manager (information technology), AAI, Delhi, said the system was launched to standardise the management of airports in the country. So far, the system had been commissioned in 14 airports including Mangalore airport.
He said the system facilitated automatic data pick up from various units at the airport and provided processed data on the intranet website. It also provided integration with other core information technology applications including integrated financial and personnel information management system and other application packages like inventory and maintenance management application system of the AAI.
