It's still destination Thailand for many

Hyderabad: Those planning a holiday in Bangkok this festive season have largely remained unperturbed by the military coup in Thailand.In fact, within hours of the coup, a Malaysian Airlines flight took off from Begumpet airport to the Thai capital at 1.00 am.Despite the tense situation in the Thai capital, all flights from the city to Bangkok and tourist hotspot Phuket are on schedule.
"We have not received any intimation about cancellations so far. " said an official of Air-India.An official of Indian said that incoming flights from Bangkok to other cities in the country were cancelled on Wednesday, but there was no flight to Hyderabad. Says an Indian official, "Our flights are operating as per schedule. But many passengers have been cancelling their bookings fearing backlash in Bangkok." An airport official said on Tuesday night that about 35 passengers from Bangalore who had boarded a Thai Airways flight changed their mind after learning about the coup. But Thai Airways did not cancel the flight."
