Mumbai: Virgin Atlantic is having a happy time in India following a 250 per cent growth in its sixth fiscal of operations. After the introduction of its first-class suites in its business class cabin, the airline is now setting its sights on the South Indian market.
Neha Lidder Ganju, marketing head (India), Virgin Atlantic, said, "The airline currently operates daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai to London. The response has been exceptional over the last year six years, especially last financial year when the airline registered a 250 per cent growth in its passenger traffic on the increased frequencies (from three to 14). Further, a load factor of 70 per cent has been witnessed by Virgin Atlantic on both Delhi and Mumbai routes. "
The A340-300 aircraft operating on the Indian routes is configured with 34 upper class suites, 35 premium economy seats and 171 seats in economy class.
