Cash Radisson MD's: IAS officer

New Delhi: IAS officer K Narasimha appeared before Income Tax officials in Hyderabad for his interrogation related to the seizure of Rs 66 lakh made from his baggage in a hotel room in Hyderabad last week.
Narasimha on Wednesday told his interrogators that the money belonged to Radisson Hotel managing director Ramesh Kapoor and he was in the Andhra capital to hand it over to the latter's contact person U S Das in connection with a land deal.
The bureaucrat's statements have been recorded and sent to Delhi where I-T sleuths questioned Kapoor for the second day on Wednesday, sources said.
Narasimha was absconding since Thursday when raids were conducted at his hotel room after sleuths recovered Rs 2.88 crore from Kapoor and his son at Hyderabad airport.
