Charter tourists to start arriving on 29 at Dabolim

Panaji: The charter flights carrying tourists will start arriving at Dabolim airport from October 29, with Monarch being the first flight to land in the state from United Kingdom. Besides, three airlines, SriLankan Airlines, Condor and TransAir, will operate scheduled flights to the state beginning this month end.
The president of Travel and Tourism Association of Goa, Mr Ralph de Souza told ‘The Navhind Times’ that as the tourist season progresses as many as 44 charter flights were expected to land at the Dabolim airport besides the scheduled flights. The charters would continue operation till mid-May, 2007.
Mr de Souza further said that from this year onwards, Condor, which was operating charter flights from Germany, would operate scheduled flights from early November to April and that from next year onwards it would operate regular flights throughout the year. Similarly TransAir would also start operating from early November, he added.
