Bellary: Helicopters have set off a war in iron-ore rich Bellary: A legislator who landed his helicopter in the premises of a temple in iron ore rich Bellary district, had to face the ire of the temple authorities and criticism from old horses in the district.
In the complaint lodged against Kudligi MLA Anil H Lad with the Sandur police, the Sree Kumaraswamy temple secretary B V Kunthe alleged that Lad had landed his helicopter in the temple on October 2.
The temple, which is situated in the Sandur forest area, has been declared as a protected monument by the department of archaeology, Kunthe said.
