Calcutta-Ranchi-Delhi Special flight on Friday for rush

Ranchi: National carrier Indian will operate a Calcutta-Ranchi-Delhi special flight on Friday to meet the rush of passengers.
A 145-seater Airbus—A320 — will be the second such special flight between Calcutta, Ranchi and Delhi in less than a month.
The last special flight was operated during Chhath, on October 28.
Sources said the flight is aimed at assessing the scope for starting a direct Ranchi-Delhi flight, which the airline authorities are contemplating after adding six new aircraft in its fleet.
Ranchi area marketing manager of Indian Satish Kumar Bage said over 45 passengers were waitlisted on Friday and the flight would help tackle the rush for Delhi. Talks are on to start a dedicated flight between Ranchi and Delhi, he said.
