Chandigarh - Mumbai Direct flights next week

Chandigarh: Mumbai will be just two hours twenty minutes from the city from next week, when the much-awaited Indus Airways will finally take wing.
Director of the company K.G. Beri says all the preparations for the operation of the flight have been completed and the formal announcement of the launch will be made very soon. “We will launch the flight within a week and the formal date will be announced in a couple of days,” says Beri.
The company will initially operate a single, daily flight on Delhi-Chandigarh-Mumbai route, linking the city directly with Mumbai for the first time.
Capt M. S. Sandhu, GM (Operations), says the company has bought a CRJ-200, 50-seater airplane from Bombardier, a Canada-based aerospace company, for this flight. Expanding its horizons, the company plans to take on lease three more such airplanes from Germany-based Lufthansa.
