Global Aircraft Solutions announces contract with Kingfisher

Tucson, Arizona: Tucson-based Global Aircraft Solutions Inc. on Friday announced four new aircraft-maintenance contracts worth about $4 million to subsidiaries Hamilton Aerospace Technologies Inc. and World Jet. One contract under Global's jet-trading joint venture, JetGlobal, involves maintenance and reconfiguration of a Boeing 737-200 sold by JetGlobal to Royal Khmer Airlines of Cambodia. Another contract involves a 737-200 in the Mexican presidential fleet. The third contract involves repairs, paint, and a heavy maintenance visit for a 737-200 leased to Aloha Airlines by BCI Aircraft Leasing; the fourth contract involves modification and heavy maintenance on a Super 727-200 that will be operating as a VIP aircraft by Kingfisher Airlines of India. Two days earlier, Global said postponements on several contracts, including one involving a Mexican presidential plane, had depressed revenues and profits in the third quarter.
