Hubli Airport land survey begins today

Dharwad: The owners of the 100-odd houses coming under the project to expand Hubli airport as an international facility seem inclined to agree for consensual acquisition of their properties if the compensation offered is fair and reasonable.
This emerged at a meeting of representatives of resident welfare associations (RWAs) of the affected colonies called by deputy commissioner M S Shrikar here on Wednesday to discuss the issue.
The district administration will undertake a detailed survey of the additional 600 acres of land required for the expansion project from Thursday jointly with representatives of the people affected by the project.
